Martel Avenue Apartments is a 50-unit brand-new affordable housing
development for low-income and Special Needs households one block from Santa Monica Blvd. in the City of West Hollywood. The site was acquired in July 2020 with an acquisition loan from the City of West Hollywood. The community will serve households making 25%-80% of the Los Angeles County Area Median Income. The development consists of a single, 5-story building and one level of subterranean parking with approximately 19 parking spaces to serve residents and staff.
A central Community Center will include a Community Room with kitchen, multipurpose room with spaces for a common area lounge, property management offices and on-site laundry. Common open spaces include a landscaped podium deck with seating areas and a secondary amenity deck with room for added privacy, passive recreation, and outdoor events.
