Fountain West

Fountain West is an affordable housing community for families in southwest Fresno, acquired by EAH Housing in 1996 through the Low-Income Housing Preservation and Resident Homeownership Act (LIHPRHA) to keep federally subsidized homes from converting to market rate. The 72-apartment property comprises 62 two-bedroom and 10 three-bedroom homes across nine buildings, set among park-like shade trees near Highway 99. A 1996-1997 rehabilitation modernized the property, with on-site after-school tutoring, job search support, and a computer learning center now anchoring a service-rich environment.
