Double Recognition for On Broadway
September 23, 2026

On Broadway, EAH Housing’s first community in Sacramento, CA, is already earning recognition across the region’s development community. The property has been named a** 2026 Best Real Estate Projects** honoree by the Sacramento Business Journal in the transit-oriented development category, a designation for projects built to connect residents directly to public transportation rather than requiring a car for daily life. On Broadway is also a finalist for the Urban Land Institute’s Sacramento Vision Honors Housing & Community Award, selected from a record field of more than 50 nominees across the region.
The recognition reflects both the scale and purpose of the development. On Broadway provides 140 homes, a mix of one, two, and three bedroom units, located steps from SacRT’s Broadway Blue Line light rail station. More than a quarter of the units are reserved for households experiencing or at risk of homelessness, pairing stable housing with the transportation access residents need to reach jobs, healthcare, and daily services. The development also includes 3,500 square feet of neighborhood-serving ground floor commercial space, reflecting its role in the City of Sacramento’s Central City Specific Plan, a framework identifying key sites for the economic revitalization of the Broadway Corridor.
On Broadway was made possible through a financing partnership that included 4% Low-Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC), a federal program that encourages private investment in affordable housing by offsetting a portion of an investor’s tax liability, alongside funding from the Affordable Housing and Sustainable Communities (AHSC) program, Sacramento County, the Sacramento Housing and Redevelopment Agency, the California Community Reinvestment Corporation, and Wells Fargo. The community is built to GreenPoint Gold sustainability standards.
We are grateful to our partners, funders, and the Sacramento community for helping bring this milestone development to life, and we look forward to seeing how it continues to shape the Broadway Corridor’s revitalization in the years ahead.
