Maintenance University: Building Skills and Confidence Across EAH Housing Communities

The Facilities team launched Maintenance University in June 2025, a hands-on training program designed to develop real-world skills, deepen technical knowledge, and build long-term confidence among maintenance staff.

The inaugural session introduced participants to a new electrical learning unit and gave them the opportunity to work through maintenance tasks, troubleshooting, and best-practice techniques inside a vacant apartment. Safety Manager Mariam Dsouza supported each session, reinforcing safe procedures and preparing team members to work effectively and confidently in the field.

This first cohort laid a strong foundation for the program's future, with advanced modules planned each year to continue building expertise and improving the resident experience across communities.
