Kolopua

Kolopua is an affordable workforce housing community in Princeville, Kauaʻi, co-developed by EAH Housing, Vitus Group, and Āhē Group and completed in 2015 in partnership with the County of Kauaʻi and HHFDC. The 44 one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments sit on 3.5 acres along Kuhio Highway, with leasing preference for employees working in the Hanalei and Kawaihau tax zones. Kolopua is LEED-H Platinum certified through a pilot mild-climate pathway, designed without mechanical heating or cooling and relying on natural island breezes for passive ventilation, with permanently affordable rents at or below 60% of the Kauaʻi median income.
