Nevin Plaza I

Nevin Plaza I is an affordable housing community for older adults 62+ and adults with special needs in downtown Richmond, originally built in 1973 as public housing and rehabilitated by EAH Housing in 2025. The seven-story, 140-apartment property was modernized while fully occupied, with new building systems, refreshed kitchens and bathrooms, accessibility upgrades, and a 2,500 sq ft multipurpose room for Richmond Housing Authority offices. The $95 million project preserves long-term affordability through Section 8 Project-Based Vouchers and features public art by SLATE Art Consulting, across from the Richmond Art Center and City Hall.
