Centertown is a longtime affordable housing partnership between EAH Housing and BRIDGE Housing in downtown San Rafael, originally built in 1992 on a foreclosed construction site the codevelopers transformed into 60 family homes. The five-story building offers one-, two-, and three-bedroom flats and townhouses around a central landscaped courtyard, serving households at 30% to 60% of the area median income (AMI). A 2023 rehabilitation added seismic and ADA upgrades, a new community building, rooftop solar, and energy-efficient systems through a ground lease with the city.
