Los Robles is an affordable housing community for families in Union City, originally built in 1974 and acquired by EAH Housing in 1995 through the Low-Income Housing Preservation and Resident Homeownership Act (LIHPRHA). A 2013 GreenPoint Rated rehabilitation by Precision General Commercial Contractors modernized 19 two-story buildings, refreshing two- through five-bedroom apartments and converting seven units to full wheelchair accessibility. Los Robles was among the first LIHPRHA projects nationally to leverage tax credits and private capital for sustainability upgrades, recognized by the U.S. Department of Energy Better Buildings Challenge
