	Pamela is a kindergarten student aide. She makes $49,493 annually and lives by herself. That makes her qualified for the 50% AMI.
	Brian is a pharmacy aide. He makes $46,118 annually and a single dad with a 8-year old son. That makes him qualified for the 40% AMI for a household of 2.
	Carlos is a maintenance technician for a medical office. He makes $61,200 annually and head of the household with two kids and a homemaker wife. That makes him qualified for the 30% AMI.
	Teresa is a florist and Peter is a delivery driver. They make a combined income of $87,000 annually and has two kids. That makes them qualified for the 60% AMI.

Affordable Housing

What Is Affordable Housing?
A home is generally considered affordable if a household pays 30% or less of their gross income (before taxes are taken out) towards rent. This term usually refers to tax credit financing housing which is intended to serve households who are at or below 60% AMI, which in Alameda County is $85,680.

How Is Affordable Housing Usually Funded?

Usually, affordable housing projects are funded with a combination of Low-Income Housing Tax Credits, State, County, and local funding sources. The Christe Avenue sites will most likely be funded with Low-Income Housing Tax Credits and Bonds, State funding, and Local Emeryville Affordable Housing Bond funding.

How Long Will The Project Remain Affordable?

 A minimum of 55 years. EAH Housing works to ensure perpetuity.

What Are The Services Offered To Residents?

​Residents will have access to a wide range of benefits and resources. Residents will have access after school facilities and programs, ample community and outdoor space, tablets in our learning center and teen lounges. Our resident service coordinators will have year-round social programs including community gathering, multicultural events, volunteer opportunities, wellness activities, and our EAH StayWell! initiative.

What Benefits Can Non-Residents Have Access To?

​The greater Emeryville community will have access to multiple community benefits that have been including the expansion of Christie Park, the inclusion of sustainable commercial use with the partnership of EAH and Bay Area Bike Rescue, a new pedestrian connection between Christie Avenue and the Public Market, improvement of 59th Street, and the public art​ installations.
