Perennial is currently in the pre-development stage and waiting for financing commitments. Perennial sites in the City of Emeryville represent one of the last remaining large redevelopment opportunities for the City. Emeryville chose EAH Housing to develop Christie into a climate-smart, well-planned community that connects seamlessly with the surrounding neighborhood.
Project Overview
Perennial is a 365-unit brand-new affordable housing development for households making 30%-60% of the local Area Median Income. The community represents one of the last remaining large redevelopment opportunities for the city. Perennial is located adjacent from Christie Park and is surrounded by transit, retail, shopping, parks, and schools, which allows future residents to use an amenity-rich area. The development comprises 3 separate 8-story buildings and expands Christie Park by adding a minimum of 6,000 square feet. The community will add a new pedestrian connection between Christie Avenue and the Public Market by upgrading access to major bike lines and transforming the industrial 59th Street into a vibrant and neighborhood-friendly area.
EAH Housing will be the property management and will have resident services programs focusing on health & active living, education, and community building.
