Duane Hopkins, Chief Financial Officer
Duane Hopkins brings over 30 years of executive experience in finance, risk management, and organizational leadership across government, nonprofit, and business sectors. Most recently serving as Chief Officer of Program & Finance Administration at the Oakland Housing Authority, he oversaw a $1.2 billion budget, managed HUD programs supporting more than 43,000 families, and implemented enterprise-wide risk management strategies. Prior to that, he was Deputy Executive Director and CFO of Housing Catalyst in Colorado, where he led real estate development initiatives that expanded the agency’s affordable housing portfolio by more than 600 units. A nationally recognized affordable housing finance and governance leader, Duane has held multiple board and committee leadership roles with the National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials (NAHRO) and the Housing Authority Insurance Group. He holds a B.S. in Finance and is a Certified Management Executive with the National Association of Housing & Redevelopment Officials.
