Last month, we celebrated the grand opening of Aloha Iā Halewilikō, our newest affordable rental community for kūpuna (seniors) on Oʻahu. The ceremony featured a traditional Hawaiian blessing and dedication, bringing together community members, residents, and partners to celebrate the occasion.
Located on the site of the historic ʻĀiea Sugar Mill, the community offers 140 studio and one-bedroom homes for residents ages 62 and older, made possible through a collaboration with the City and County of Honolulu. On-site resident services, community amenities, and a partnership with Lanakila Pacific will support residents in living well and staying connected. As one of 22 developments EAH Housing has built in Hawai’i, this is the latest addition to our long-standing presence in the state, and a meaningful milestone for the communities we serve.
