Property in the Spotlight – 330 Distel Circle

Distel CIrcle EAH HousingEAH Housing is excited to start the development process on 330 Distel Circle in Los Altos. This new development will be the first 100% affordable housing community in Los Altos. The EAH Housing Real Estate Development (RED) team is working closely with the City of Los Altos and the County of Santa Clara Office of Supportive Housing to develop relationships with future neighbors and bring this project to fruition.

The team has held several meetings with community members, from unveiling architectural renderings to receiving feedback about the design and incorporating it into the site plans. The meetings are well attended and the proposed development has received a lot of support, including a letter from local advocates to the Los Altos Crier, the local newspaper.

The property will have 90 units, with a mix of studios and one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments. People and families earning between 30-80% of Santa Clara County’s Annual Median Income (AMI) would qualify for residency. There will be a community multipurpose room and lounge with a kitchenette, bicycle storage, onsite laundry, and an onsite property management staff, including a resident services coordinator. It is currently designed to be built with mass timber, have a low carbon footprint, and will integrate environmentally conscious design elements in it, including PV solar energy panels, energy efficient and low-flow appliances, and drought tolerant landscaping.

Construction is expected to begin in late 2023.
