EAH Housing Ranked Top 3 Nonprofit Affordable Housing Developer in the U.S.

As one of the largest and most respected nonprofit housing development and management organizations in the Western United States, EAH Housing's ranking places it alongside industry leaders including Mercy Housing (#12 overall) and Arlington Partnership for Affordable Housing (#19 overall) as the top-performing nonprofit developers nationally.

In 2023, EAH Housing announced the groundbreaking of Lightfighter Village, a permanent veterans housing community in Marina, and Nevin Plaza in Richmond. The organization also celebrated the grand re-opening of Centertown Apartments in San Rafael.

During the first half of 2024, EAH Housing continued its momentum with the completion of:

• Avena Bella II (Turlock): The second and final phase of a LEED Platinum-certified family community
• Archway Commons II(Modesto): The second phase of an energy-efficient affordable housing community
• Pointe On La Brea (Los Angeles): A new permanent supportive housing community
• Lightfighter Village (Marina): A 71-unit veterans community developed in partnership with the Veterans Transition Center
• Nevin Plaza II(Richmond): Affordable rental housing for seniors and persons with special needs

Founded nearly 60 years ago, EAH Housing has been steadfast in its efforts to address the affordable housing crisis throughout California and Hawaiʻi — two of the country's most challenging and expensive housing markets. The organization currently serves over 25,000 low-income individuals and families across more than 240 communities and manages a portfolio of over 13,000 units.

Looking ahead, EAH Housing is set to deliver more units over the next five years than in the last 25 years combined. By 2028, the organization expects to increase the number of people housed to 30,000, reflecting its commitment to scaling solutions to meet the urgent demand for affordable housing.

In 2024, EAH Housing was also featured as one of the top 50 affordable housing owners in the country, underscoring its dual expertise in both development and long-term property management.
